I am a professional portrait artist; on this blog I post about how I work to create portraits from photos, and about my inspiration.

A Survivor
One of the great bonuses for an artist drawing portraits in public places are some of the interesting people who dare to take the hot seat for a portrait. This 8o-year-old man who was born in Danzig is a survivor of the concentration camps in Poland. In 1939 children were rescued in an operation known as the `kinder transport`.He was the only one of his family to survive.
I am a professional artist, I do portraits, illustrations and caricatures.
My clients come from my site - www.stanhurr.co.uk and from my almost weekly visits to shopping centres mostly in the midlands & south-east England. I am 66 years old and (even though I have been full-time for 39 years!) still learning my craft every day. Check out my site: Portrait Artist UK, and caricatures from photos
